Sing with the Harlequin Singers
A Season-Long Performance Experience
The Harlequin Singers invite adult singers to audition for our upcoming season and become part of a well-established organization entering an exciting new chapter.
We are a performance-focused ensemble for singers who enjoy:
- Storytelling through music
- Working collaboratively toward a shared artistic goal
- Being part of a supportive, committed community
Our September – June season allows singers to prepare thoughtfully, build confidence, and experience the satisfaction of a polished final performance.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome singers who bring:
- Commitment and reliability
- A willingness to prepare and grow
- Openness to collaboration and learning
Music-reading experience is helpful but not required. Many of our singers come from a variety of musical backgrounds, including those returning to singing after time away.

Audition Information
Auditions are designed to be welcoming and straightforward. We are interested in getting to know your voice, your musical interests, and what draws you to the Harlequins.
Audition Details
Formal auditions are held twice each year, during the last week of January and the last week of September.
Auditions are approximately 10 minutes and include three simple components:
- Vocal warm-up and range check
- Prepared song — please sing a song from a musical of your choice or your part from one of the pieces we are currently rehearsing.
- Our accompanist will be available for piano accompaniment if desired
- You may also sing with backing tracks
- Brief pitch matching exercise
Our goal is to create a relaxed, supportive audition environment — we all want the same thing: to hear you at your best.
After Your Audition
Following your audition, a member of the Board will contact you to share the outcome. If your audition is successful, you may be offered a position with the ensemble. As we may receive many auditions, placement is subject to ensemble needs and available openings.
